DOE reports—Finnish Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kari Kahiluoto, visited the regional center of Stockholm conventions with the Iranian representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
After the introduction of the regional center and its national and international activities, various aspects of cooperation in the field of environment, including proper management of waste, circular economy, and environmental policies and measures were discussed.
Expressing concern about the existing sanctions, the ambassador of Finland stressed on the exchange of technical knowledge and the use of joint power and expertise in order to strengthen the infrastructure of environmental cooperation.
The parties agreed to follow up the exchange of intelligence through holding video conference meetings. According to the environmental capabilities and capacities of the two countries and by taking advantage of these capabilities, it was emphasized to increase the development of environmental cooperation between the two countries.
